Membership in the Okija USA, shall be open to all sons and daughters of Okija origin or descent and their spouses (e.g. sons & daughters whose either parent is of Okija origin). Members are required to register with a local chapter within one year of national enrollment. Individuals whose place of residences do not have registered or recognized chapters may register as distant members of a registered chapter closest to their places of residence. Any member of a registered Okija USA chapter, who moves to another locality where there is a registered Okija USA chapter, shall register with the new chapter without paying a registration fee, as long as that member is confirmed to be in good financial standing in his/her former chapter.
